New Thor Album Could Make Your Arm Explode

The mighty Thor is ready to rock the world again.
Devastation Of Musculation was recorded and produced over a five-month period by Jon Mikl Thor and Mike Kischnick (Empyria, Severed Serenity) at Iron Works Studios in Kelowna, B.C. and will be released on July 25. Thor handled lead vocals, Kischnick played guitars and keyboards, Ogron was on bass detail and Panthar pounded the drums. The album also features a number of guests, including guitarist Frank Soda.
Thor has also shot three videos for songs from the disc. "Release The Beast" will be included on the CD, while the title track and "Lords Of Steel" will debut on an upcoming Smog Veil Records podcast.
"I recently saw a program about The Man Whose Arm Exploded," says Thor. "It was about a guy who wanted to have the biggest biceps in the world.
"He pumped himself up with so many steroids and oil injections that his arms reached 50 inches and actually exploded. That is Devastation Of Musculation. Trying to make sense out of these desperate measures is what this new album is about. It is easily the darkest and most powerful album I have ever written."
Thor knows a thing or two about muscles, as he was the first Canadian to win both the Mr. Canada and Mr. USA bodybuilding titles. He's also worn the Mr. International, Mr. North America and Mr. Universe belts when he wasn't belting out molten metal classics like "Keep The Dogs Away."
Thor will be touring North America in support of Devastation Of Musculation, but no dates for his life-changing shows have been confirmed yet.
