Kaiser Chiefs Singer Recovering After Being Hit By Car

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson was injured after a hit-and-run accident in Leeds, England on Sunday night.
The singer was crossing the street in his hometown when a car struck him and then drove away. The band reports on their website that Wilson's on-stage style contributed to his injuries not being more serious.
"He's the luckiest man alive, because he is still alive, it sounds daft, but a 'Ricky trademark jump' has probably saved his life," said the group.
"The jump meant he was flipped over the top of the car, hitting the windscreen, rather than getting trapped under it."
Police are investigating the incident and no arrests have been made.
"Whether it was a joyrider, wreckless driving or drunk driving we still don't know," said the band.
Despite Wilson breaking a toe and receiving some bruises, he'll still co-host a BBC Radio 1 show with Jo Whiley on May 29, and the band's shows in Holland and Germany will go ahead as scheduled in the first week of June.
The Kaiser Chiefs' July 5 show in Zagreb, Croatia with The Rolling Stones was postponed on account of Keith Richards' recovery from recent brain surgery. The Kaiser Chiefs' Employment debut was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize last year.
