Edgefest II Lineup Announced With An Emo Scream

The lineup for this year's Edgefest II will make emo fans want to lace up their Chucks and trudge over to Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre.
The music festival — which has previously featured performances by Hole, Billy Talent, Sloan and Alexisonfire — has been drawing fans of big name international acts and Canadian indie bands for 20 years now.
This year's main stage acts include headliners and wannabe Canadians Yellowcard, The All-American Rejects, recent Alternative Press cover stars Hawthorne Heights, Story Of The Year, Matchbook Romance, Ill Scarlett and Anberlin.
Edge 102.1's "Next Big Thing" stage is always a draw, and this year it shouldn't disappoint. The Meligrove Band, Magneta Lane (who played Chart's Canadian Music Week showcase in March), The Miniatures, Panic And The Rebel Emergency and In-Flight Safety will grace the supporting stage.
The Bedlam Society/Dine Alone third stage will make eardrums bleed, with The Junction, Cancer Bats and Attack In Black tearing it up.
More bands will be announced at a later date. Edgefest II will go down on July 16, with tickets going on sale on May 5 at 2 p.m. All tickets are general admission and will set you back $39.25 plus applicable service charges. Go to the Ticketmaster website for more information or to order online.
