Dashboard Confessional Switch Producers For New Album

Dashboard Confessional

Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba is a picky guy.

He scrapped the first version of the band's new album after not being satisfied with the final product. Then he overhauled much of what he recorded with Canadian producer Daniel Lanois (U2) after teaming up with Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte).

Gilmore and Carrabba first worked together when they recorded "Vindicated" for the Spiderman 2 soundtrack. A spokesperson for Carrabba told Billboard.com that, while some of Lanois' contributions remain on the final product, they were mostly reworked by Gilmore.

The album-opening first single is "Don't Wait." "So Long" features vocals by Counting Crows singer Adam Duritz.

The still untitled new record is set for a June 27 release through Vagrant. It's the follow-up to 2003's A Mark, A Mission, A Scar, which has been certified gold in the U.S.

Here's the track list for the upcoming Dashboard Confessional album:

"Don't Wait"
"Sweet Lungs"
"Temporary Love"
"Stolen"
"Visions"
"Currents"
"Slow Decay"
"Dusk & Summer"
"Heaven"
