On The Road Again: The Black Crowes, Matt Mays, The Cult And Joel Plaskett

The Black Crowes got back together to perform for the first time in three years in 2005, and things went so well for the southern rockers that they're hitting the road again in support of their new DVD, Freak 'N' Roll... Into The Fog.
But the Robinson brothers and the rest of the band may have to be careful that the opening act for the Canadian leg of their tour, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, don't blow them off the stage. Decide for yourself next month at these venues:
May 3 Victoria, BC @ Save On Foods Centre
May 6 Kamloops, BC @ Interior Savings Centre
May 7 Calgary, AB @ Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
May 8 Edmonton, AB @ Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
May 10 Winnipeg, MB @ MTS Centre
May 11 Thunder Bay, ON @ Thunder Bay Auditorium
May 13 London, ON @ John Labatt Centre
May 15 Ottawa, ON @ Ottawa Congress Centre
May 16 Toronto, ON @ Massey Hall
The Cult have reconvened for a series of shows now that singer Ian Astbury has put his Jim Morrison routine on the back burner.
How's he getting along with guitarist Billy Duffy these days? Does "She Sells Sanctuary" still hold up after all these years? There's no way to find out unless you check out one of these concerts:
May 18 Vancouver, BC @ Plaza Of Nations
May 20 Calgary, AB @ Stampede Corral
May 21 Edmonton, AB @ Shaw Conference Centre
May 26 Toronto, ON @ Molson Amphitheatre
Joel Plaskett played a concert with actor Russell Crowe on Tuesday night as part of his Australian tour, so he may have a few interesting anecdotes when he returns to Canada for a series of dates with his band The Emergency next month.
The group are touring in support of the new Make A Little Noise DVD, which includes three new songs recorded with producer Gordie Johnson (Big Sugar, Grady) on a bonus CD included in the package. Feel free to make a little noise yourselves at these shows:
