New Releases: Yeah Yeah Yeahs Make Bony Return

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

This Tuesday isn't the busiest release day of the year, but it does feature one of the highest profile new records of 2006.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Show Your Bones comes almost two years after the band's hit, Fever To Tell. It's got a little less of the edge that made Fever such a thriller, but what it lacks in balls-out insanity, it makes up for in songwriting. Expect a number of singles to roll out of this one.

Aspiring horror master Rob Zombie is taking time off from shooting films starring his wife as a sadistic killer to bring his fans his first new album in years, Educated Horses. It remains to be seen whether Zombie has spent too much time away from his guitar to maintain his status as a metal force.

As Wu-Tang Clan struggle to hold firm following the death of their most popular member, Ol' Dirty Bastard, the career of Ghostface Killah continues to shoot upward. Fishscale is Ghostface's latest release, and early buzz is that the next time Wu-Tang hit the road, there's going to be a new favourite at the forefront.

People In Planes have spent the last eight months promoting the crap out of a four-track EP, but now the fans they've acquired can get their hands on the real deal. As Far As The Eye Can See, the band's debut full-length, hits stores on Tuesday.

Other releases this week include Gary Numan's Jagged, Band Of Horses' Everything All The Time, Matt Costa's Songs We Sing, Atreyu's A Deathgrip On Yesterday and T.I.'s King.
