The Illuminati Enlighten The U.S. On Borrowed Time

Many have already fallen for Toronto's sleazy boogie rockers, The Illuminati. Danko Jones even declared them "the best band in Canada." So now that they've captured the hearts of Canadians, they're attempting a U.S. takeover.
The all-left-handed power trio's On Borrowed Time debut LP will be released in the U.S. on June 28 by Liquor & Poker Music. They've just finished an American tour with labelmates The Hellacopters and Nebula that included a stop at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
The American version of On Borrowed Time will include a video for "Goin' Down" as well as audio and video versions of "On My Way Back Home Again" from the group's now-out-of-print self-titled debut EP. Both the 12-track album and the six-song EP were produced by C'mon's Ian Blurton (The Weakerthans, Tricky Woo).
Rectangle Records recently released a six-song EP called The Illuminati And Their Cheap Powers in Canada. The record was previously only available at shows, but is now available with new artwork and photos.
