Kanye West Relaunches Masonic Temple With MTV Concert

Kanye West and Sam Roberts will join in musical matrimony for an April 18 concert at Toronto's historic Masonic Temple that will be taped and broadcast across Canada as a 60-minute CTV special.

Roberts, however, won't be part of the 30-minute MTV Live At The Concert Hall: Kanye West package that will be distributed to MTV outlets in the U.S., Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the U.K. and Africa.

There are three ways for fans across Canada to win tickets to the exclusive show: MTV Overdrive's website; local radio station giveaways; and MTV Live on-air giveaways.

The Masonic Temple is the new home to MTV Canada and has played host to a slew of artists over the past 60 years, including Frank Sinatra, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Public Enemy, Pearl Jamand The Tragically Hip. The Rolling Stones have used it as a rehearsal space and Mike Bullard hosted his late-night talk show there. MTV plans to revitalize the iconic building as a live music venue for special concerts like this one.

MTV's flagship talk series, MTV Live, will provide behind-the-scenes access, interviews and discussions, while exclusive interviews will also be featured on CTV's eTalk Daily and eTalk's MTV sister show, e2.
