More Whispers About Angels & Airwaves

With Blink-182 on indefinite hiatus and Boxcar Racer on the backburner, fans of pop-punk ace Tom DeLonge have been bereft of their idol since the release of Blink's greatest hits record late last year.
Fortunately for them, DeLonge's newest band, Angels & Airwaves, are set to release their self-produced No Need To Whisper debut on May 23 via Geffen.
Consisting of DeLonge, Box Car Racer's David Kennedy, former Distiller Ryan Sinn and Rocket From The Crypt drummer Atom Willard, the A&A lineup is pretty much every angry teenager's wet dream.
"When I realized Blink wasn't going to be happening anymore, I realized I had new things that I needed to live up to," DeLonge told Billboard.com. "I had no idea I was going to make the best album of my life."
The group's synth-heavy first single, "The Adventure," is available on their official website. That track, and several others on the album, were inspired by DeLonge's brother, who served in Iraq as a soldier in the U.S. army.
"This has nothing to do with Democrats or Republicans, but war," said DeLonge. "I'm mad because my brother almost died in a war where people didn't need to go in the first place."
Angels & Airwaves are planning a headlining tour in the fall, but are currently on the road opening for Taking Back Sunday. The group's only scheduled Canadian show, on May 24 at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre, sold-out in 12 minutes.
There's no need to whisper — here's the track list for Angels & Airwaves' debut:
"Valkyrie Missile"
"Distraction"
"It Hurts"
"Do It For Me Now"
"The Adventure"
"The War"
"A Little's Enough"
"The Gift"
"Good Day"
"Start The Machine"
