R. Kelly's Brother Lashes Out With Additional Accusations

R. Kelly's younger brother, Carey Kelly has released a low-budget DVD featuring a handful of nasty allegations against his famous sibling.
Carey claims that his brother offered him $50,000 U.S., a record deal and a house if he falsely testified on the witness stand when R. was facing child-pornography charges. Carey had been unintentionally involved in the case when rumours surfaced that R. planned to claim that it was him in the sex tape that prompted the child porn charges against R. The two brothers look similar.
The DVD, produced for Drahma Magazine and released on Tuesday, features a number of allegations, including this one:
"I got a call about a year-and-a-half ago. My brother wanted me to do some shit pertaining to this case that would leave me behind bars with a record deal. It doesn't make sense, so I turned it down... Since I couldn't lie for him in a court of law, we're back beefing again and we ain't brothers no more."
Carey further spoke out on March 17 on New York radio station Hot 97's morning show, claiming that R. came to him with the offer when they were in a hot tub so that he could ensure he wasn't wearing a wire. At the time, the lesser-known brother was alternating between living in an abandoned building and sleeping in his car, but he still declined.
"I'd rather get it on my own than sell my soul, so that's why I'm speaking the truth," he said.
Carey was just released from jail for theft. Apparently that's what he considers getting something on his own.
Carey also told the radio station that R. abuses his wife, attempted to molest his other brother's daughter and molested their 12-year-old second cousin. He also alleged that the R&B star is bisexual and is "in the closet for real."
"This is not the first time Carey has made ridiculous accusations against his brother," an R. Kelly spokesperson told MTV News. "We're not going to dignify them with a comment."
Carey has had a very public feud with his brother, claiming that he hasn't received any royalties from work on R.'s 12 Play album and that he's prevented him from having a successful career by getting him blacklisted by the music industry.
R.'s child-pornography case will continue on April 7 in Chicago.
