Wes Borland Forgets Bizkit To Focus On New Band

Wes Borland's Black Light Burns are his main focus these days, and the guitarist says that Limp Bizkit's current hiatus could be permanent.
Limp Bizkit have been quiet since the release of The Unquestionable Truth (Part I) last May. Borland, who rejoined the band nearly two years ago, says all of the Bizkit members are busy with other projects and it's well-known that tension has existed between Borland and frontman Fred Durst.
Borland admits to feeling more like a member of From First To Last than Limp Bizkit. He played bass on their Heroine LP and spent time touring with the band in the fall. He also plans to help the Florida post-hardcore group write their next album.
Black Light Burns' Cruel Melody debut album is due out this summer. The 12 tracks feature guest contributions by Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers, British singer/songwriter Carina Round, Concrete Blonde's Johnette Napolitano and From First To Last frontman Sonny Moore.
Borland hopes to create a touring version of the band since the musicians that contributed to the record — including drummer Josh Freese, former Nine Inch Nails guitarist Danny Lohner and Telefon Tel Aviv keyboardist/programmer Josh Eustis — will likely be occupied with their own projects. Borland would like to do a short club tour before the CD's release, and Black Light Burns will open for From First To Last on a fall tour that will feature Borland playing in both bands.
Here's the track list for Cruel Melody:

"Coward"
"Cruel Melody"
"I Have A Need"
"4 Walls"
