Canadian Idol Auditions Attracting More Talent Than Ever

Now that three seasons of Canadian Idol have passed, more Canadians want to try out for the talent search program.
This year's auditions have broken records. So far, almost 7,000 competitors have shown up in seven cities, beating last year's total of 6,725 in 13 destinations.
The quality of singers has also increased, as judges will select a top 200 group of contestants who will travel to Toronto in May with the hope of making it into the top 22. Heading into Halifax this weekend, the number is already at 132. There were 187 last season, 155 in season two and 143 in season one.
Those of you hoping to get your big break who haven't tried out for this year's show yet can find full audition details at the Canadian Idol website.
Here are the remaining Canadian Idol audition dates and locations:
April 8-9 Halifax, NS @ MicMac Mall
April 18 St. John's, NL @ The Village Shopping Centre
April 22-23 Kitchener, ON @ Fairview Park
April 28-29 Toronto, ON @ Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre
