Good Charlotte Take Hip-Hop Break From Their Next Album

Good Charlotte twins Joel and Benji Madden used their Dead Executives pseudonym to help produce the forthcoming album from rapper J-Kwon.
Dead Executives previously produced three tracks for Joel's girlfriend, pop-tart Hilary Duff. The Maddens connected with J-Kwon through Nelly collaborator and fellow Dead Executive, Jay E. They were originally supposed to work on one track, but ended up on seven.
"I definitely think we have a flavour that we bring that isn't out there right now in hip-hop, because we do have a different ear," Joel told MTV News at the April 1 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. "It's really a different world, but it's fun for us 'cause it's like we're just the little guys with the tattoos that come in and do the music, and all the rappers are cool to us."
The J-Kwon collaboration isn't the first on the Maddens' hip-hop resume. They recently worked with The Game on a track that will most likely appear on Good Charlotte's next release.
"We're going back in the studio with Don Gilmore, who did our first record, and we're really excited," said Benji. "I think they're the best songs that we've ever written."
