Capitol Records Reissuing Four More Beatles Albums In Box Set

Capitol Records will continue their Beatles reissue series on April 11 with four 1965 releases collected in one set called Capitol Albums Volume 2.

Following the 2004 collection of the band's first four U.S. albums, the new package features The Early Beatles, Beatles VI, the Help! soundtrack and the American pressing of Rubber Soul. Each song will be presented in both stereo and mono mixes and 82 of the 92 songs will come in versions that have never made it to CD. The albums will also feature sleeves that replicate the original LP artwork.

The Early Beatles features stereo debuts of fan favourites "Twist and Shout," "Please Please Me" and "A Taste of Honey," as well as the first CD appearances of 1963 simulated stereo mixes of "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You."

Beatles VI offers a duophonic mix of "Yes It Is" as well as the debut of five stereo tracks and four mono tracks.

The Help! soundtrack has five instrumentals from the movie along with five of George Martin's original 1965 stereo mixes.

Rubber Soul also features the first CD appearances of Martin's 1965 stereo mixes.

The box set's release will coincide with the 41st anniversary of The Beatles' dominance of the top five spots on the Billboard pop singles chart with "Can't Buy Me Love," "Twist And Shout," "She Loves You," "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "Please Please Me."
