Boys Night Out To Launch First Canadian Headlining Tour And DVD

Boys Night Out

Burlington, Ontario post-hardcore band Boys Night Out will headline an 18-city Canadian tour and release a DVD in June.

BNO will be playing an equal amount of material from all of their records — Broken Bones And Bloody Kisses, Make Yourself Sick and last year's Trainwreck — to please older fans as well as more recent converts. They'll be joined on the tour by The Receiving End Of Sirens, Rosesdead and Machete Avenue.

The group have had quite a few nights out in the past little while, having just returned from touring the U.K. with Less Than Jake. A North American tour with Armor For Sleep, Chiodos and Action Reaction preceded that.

BNO were nominated for best new group at this year's Juno Awards and were named best rock group at the 2006 Indie Awards.

It remains to be seen whether the band's Dude You Need To Stop Dancing! DVD will be award-worthy, but Ferret Music will release it on June 27. The disc includes performance footage from a recent Toronto show and a "dark, twisted and kind of silly" feature-length mockumentary about the band's career and subsequent break-up.
