Paul Weller Revisits His Whole Career On Double Live Album

Paul Weller

British modfather Paul Weller is releasing a double live album spanning his entire career, including tracks from The Jam, The Style Council and his solo work.

Catch — Flame!, recorded at the London Alexandra Palace during Weller's U.K. tour last December, will be released in his homeland on June 12. Weller's past few records have been issued in North America by Yep Roc, but no release date has yet been announced for the new album on this side of the Atlantic.

Weller, 47, received the lifetime achievement award at the Brit Awards in February to honour his near-30-year career as a songwriter and musician.

"Paul Weller is an artist who scores on every measure and typifies the range and quality of British music at its best," said British Phonographic Industry chairman Peter Jamieson when announcing the honour.

The prolific Weller — who's been cited as a major influence by such Brit-pop bands as Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene and Cast — will play a number of U.K. music festivals this summer.
