It's Been A Long Time Coming For Tool's Long New Album

Tool's forthcoming fourth album is titled 10,000 Days, and it must seem like it's been that long between LPs for many of the group's fans. The expansive heavy rock band's last album was Lateralus, which came out on May 15, 2001. The new disc will be released by Volcano/Virgin on May 2, making it around 1,800 days since the last full record of new Tool material.
10,000 Days will be introduced by "Vicarious," which is both the first song on the album and the introductory single that should arrive at radio on April 17. The song rocks past the seven-minute mark, which is reflective of the length of the 11 tracks on the 77-minute CD.
Tool's current lineup features Maynard James Keenan on vocals, Adam Jones on guitar, Justin Chancellor on bass and Danny Carey on drums. The band originally formed in 1990 and released Undertow in 1993 and Aenima in 1996 before Lateralus.
Keenan is also a member of A Perfect Circle, which has contributed to the lengthy periods in between Tool albums.
Here are the long songs on 10,000 Days:
"Vicarious"
"Jambi"
"Wings For Marie (Pt.1)"
"10,000 Days (Pt. 2)"
"The Pot"
"Lipan Conjuring"
"Lost Keys (Blame Hofman)"
"Rosetta Stoned"
"Intension"
"Right In Two"
"Viginti Tres"
