The Killers Ask For Dismissal Of $16 Million Lawsuit

It's been exactly six months since CHARTattack last reported on a Brandon Flowers feud, and the guy is still giving us material.
But this time, Flowers' band The Killers aren't bothered by Fall Out Boy or The Bravery. Proving that they're fighting legit battles, the band, together with their lawyer-manager, asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by their ex-manager.
In February, Braden Merrick sued The Killers and their lawyer for $16 million U.S. He claimed that he was unjustly fired about two years before his contract was due to expire.
According to Associated Press, the band filed their documents in U.S. District Court on Monday, accusing Merrick of incompetence and dishonesty. The Killers filed a separate action in California last week to request that any agreements between them and Merrick be voided. Merrick's lawyer said he hasn't yet seen any of The Killers' actions, but their request to dismiss his clients' suit didn't take him by surprise.
"You gotta take your shot if you don't want to pay what you owe," he said.
A spokesperson in California said a date for the hearing has not yet been scheduled.
