Bedouin Soundclash And Michael Buble Win Two Canadian Radio Music Awards

Bedouin Soundclash

Canadian radio darlings Bedouin Soundclash and Michael Buble were the biggest winners at the ninth annual Canadian Radio Music Awards on March 4 at Toronto's Fairmont Royal York Hotel as part of Canadian Music Week.

The awards show was hosted by salty-tongued radio and TV personality Carla Collins. It was highlighted by the induction of Blue Rodeo into the Canadian Music Industry Hall Of Fame, which featured both a tribute by The Sadies and a performance by the inductees. Amanda Stott, Massari, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Divine Brown, Amanda Wilkinson and Mobile also performed at the lunchtime event.

Winners were determined by ballots submitted by music industry members. Aside from a couple of categories, most of the nominees were chosen based on a song's airplay, and all of the acts must have debuted on selected radio charts for the first time in 2005.
