Pamela Anderson Tops Big Names For Juno Weekend

New details about the Juno Awards and the activities surrounding the April 2 show keep emerging.
Pamela Anderson will host the televised show in all her busty blonde glory. Anderson recently sang a duet with Bryan Adams on "When You're Gone," a song included on his Anthology greatest hits package. Since Adams will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame during the show, perhaps we'll see a reprise of their performance.
The lineup for JunoFest, the two-night festival held at 15 venues around Halifax, will feature about 50 Atlantic region acts and another 50 or so artists from the rest of the country. Among those confirmed to take part are MSTRKRFT, Pilate, C'mon, Mathew Barber, Ron Sexsmith, Luke Doucet, Elliott Brood and The Novaks.
The third annual Juno Cup charity hockey game in support of the MusiCan music education program will pit Canadian musicians against former NHL players on March 31. The Rockers team will be captained by Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy and will include Alan Doyle (Great Big Sea), Jarrett Murphy (Matt Mays & El Torpedo), Jeremy Taggart (Our Lady Peace) and Brent Fitz, Dave Brenner and Dean Back (Theory Of A Deadman). The former NHLers named so far are Brad Dalgarno, Kirk Muller, Mark Napier, Mike Pelyk, Paul Coffey and Russ Courtnall.
