INXS Will Rock Canada Again

It's a lucky thing for Canadian INXS fans that the Aussie rockers have charismatic Canuck J.D. Fortune as their new frontman. Not only did it mean that Toronto was treated to two shows at Massey Hall earlier this week, but the band have also announced that they'll embark on a 12-stop cross-Canada arena tour in May.
After the suicide of original singer Michael Hutchence in 1997, Fortune scored the job by winning the CBS reality show, Rockstar: INXS, last year. Since then, the band have rekindled their earlier success thanks to the release of their Switch album and Fortune's swagger, good looks and stage presence.
Fortune was born in Mississauga, Ontario but raised in Pictou County, Nova Scotia before he moved to Toronto in his mid-teens to pursue a music career. The singer reflected nostalgically on his homecoming during a news conference earlier this week.
"Seeing the city skyline... just really warmed my heart," Fortune said in a Canadian Press article. "I used to take the GO Train to come down here and shop my demo."
Fortune will return to Toronto, and will also play shows in Moncton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener, London, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver when the INXS world tour touches down in Canada.
