Matthew Sweet and The Bangles' Susanna Hoffs have transformed into Sid 'N' Susie for a collaboration album of their favourite '60s pop and folk tunes.

Under The Covers Volume 1 will be released via Shout! Factory April 18 and features the two singers doing their own takes on songs by The Beatles, The Zombies, The Who, The Beach Boys as well as other popular and obscure tracks.

According to the band's MySpace page, the duo took on the project together "purely for the fun of it!" Sweet and Hoffs have both done guest vocals on each others tours and played in Ming Tea — Austin Powers' screen band.

The album was recorded at Sweet's home studio, Lolina Green and apparently has a relaxed, stripped down feel to it. Sweet had major success in the early '90s with his album, Girlfriend, which was critically acclaimed and established the Nebraska native as a prominent alt.rock singer/songwriter. Hoffs is still part of The Bangles, but during their break-up in the '90s, she released solo projects and wrote with Go-Go Charlotte Caffey.

Here's the track list for Under The Covers Vol. 1:
"I See The Rain" (The Marmalade)
"And Your Bird Can Sing" (The Beatles)
"It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" (Bob Dylan)
"Who Knows Where The Time Goes?" (Fairport Convention)
"Cinnamon Girl" (Neil Young And Crazy Horse)
"Alone Again Or" (Love)
"Warmth Of The Sun" (The Beach Boys)
"Different Drum" (The Stone Poneys)
"The Kids Are Alright" (The Who)
"Sunday Morning" (The Velvet Underground)
"Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" (Neil Young And Crazy Horse)
"Care Of Cell .44" (The Zombies)
"Monday Monday" (The Mamas And The Papas)
"She May Call You Up Tonight" (The Left Banke)
"Run To Me" (The Bee Gees)
