Tom Green Likes Hooters, And Hooters Like Him

While the waitresses' breasts may not be 100 per cent natural, the Keepin' It Real Crew will be backing Tom Green when he launches his Prepare For Impact album at Hooters' downtown Toronto restaurant on December 6.

Green was a member of Ottawa rap outfit Organized Rhyme in the '90s before embarking on a multimedia career that now encompasses television, movies, a book and, now, his first solo hip-hop album. The disc was produced by DJ E-Z Mike of the Dust Brothers, whose past production credits include Beastie Boys' Paul's Boutique, Beck's Guero and the Rolling Stones' Bridges To Babylon.

Prepare For Impact also contains a live DVD that chronicles the Keepin' It Real Crew's brief Ontario tour from the summer. Those dates, and a performance at last month's CASBY Awards in Toronto, are the only shows that the group have done to this point. The other members of the Keepin' It Real Crew, street skateboard star Jeremy Klein and MC Shawn Anthony, will join Green and DJ E-Z Mike at the free Hooters gig, which starts at 6 p.m.

Look for the crew to play such album cuts as "My Bum Is On Your Lips," "Teachers Suck," "I'm No Comedian" and "My Name Is Hammy," and don't be surprised to see a lot of jiggling waitresses getting down when Green's performance climaxes with "I Like Hooters."
