DMX Arrested After Another Driving Infraction

Some people say that the third time's the charm.

For DMX, another arrest is anything but a charm.

The rapper was arrested Friday after his third driving infraction in just over a year. DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was charged for driving with a suspended license, after being involved in a three-car crash.

Police say DMX was driving on the Major Deegan Expressway in New York's Bronx area, when he hit a car. That car then hit a police cruiser. The driver of the car that DMX allegedly hit was treated for minor injuries. Unfortunately for DMX, charges of involvement in this incident couldn't come at a worse time.

At the beginning of this week he had come to an agreement on earlier driving charges. The court decided that the rapper would be fined, have to forfeit his Ford Expedition and have his license suspended. Those penalties stem from a case in June 2004, when DMX and another man allegedly stole a car from the Kennedy Airport parking lot and drove his Expedition through the tollbooth.

Details about this case have been sparse since the incident occurred, but whatever went down, one thing is certain — DMX shouldn't have been driving this time around. He also got quite a speeding ticket in December 2004, when police caught him driving over 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. He was arrested in that incident, too.

As for what DMX is spending his time working on, who knows. Since his retirement after 2003's Grand Champ record, we haven't heard much from DMX. His film career hasn't exactly been thriving either. Since DMX starred in last year's flop, Never Die Alone, he seems to be keeping his acting endeavors on the down-low.
