Embrace The Future Of Solo Billy Corgan

Billy Corgan, former leader of alt.rock powerhouse Smashing Pumpkins and not-so-powerful sort-of-supergroup Zwan, has made the finishing touches on his debut solo album.
TheFutureEmbrace is an 11-song set that will hit stores on June 21. The record features 10 original tunes and a cover of The Bee-Gee's "To Love Somebody." It's Corgan's first record since Zwan's debut and zwan song, Mary, Star Of The Sea.
The first single off of the album will be "Walking Shade" and Corgan is set to commence a solo tour of intimate venues in July. The singer solicited the services of some of his old buddies to help in the project. Former Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin is featured on the song "DIA" while The Cure's Robert "Straight Men Can Wear Eyeliner Too" Smith sings backup vocals on the aforementioned Bee Gee’s tune.
The ever-philosophical Corgan shared some information pertaining to the experimental leanings of his current material. "Many people assume when I do more progressive work that I am trying to move away from something, when honestly what I am trying to do is get closer to who I really am," said Corgan.
As multi-faceted as he is philosophical, the hairless wonder has recently released a volume of poetry, Blinking With Fists that skyrocketed to the top of the New York Times best-seller list.
