Martha Wainwright Debut Coming Out Courtesy MapleMusic

Martha Wainwright

It seems that there is going to be a little more competition in the Wainwright family.

In a few months Rufus' younger sister and Loudon's daughter, Martha Wainwright will release her first full-length CD. Martha has joined the likes of The Dears and Pilate on the indie label MapleMusic. Her self-titled CD will be released to the public on April 12. This disc is the follow-up to her EP Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole that received critical acclaim.

Martha has been getting praise from not only the press, but other musicians as well. Norah Jones has Martha listed as one of the best things she has heard in Mojo magazine's January edition. Right now you can see her on the big screen. She plays a singer in the Oscar nominated film, The Aviator. Her song "I'll Be Seeing You" is also on the movie's soundtrack.

In addition, two of Martha's songs are on the soundtrack for P.S., which stars Laura Linney and Topher Grace.

The tracks on Martha's CD will be as follows:
"Far Away"
"G.P.T."
"Factory"
"These Flowers"
"Ball And Chain"
"Don't Forget"
"This Life"
"When The Day Is Short"
"Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole"
"Oprah Song"
"The Maker"
"Who Was I Kidding"
"Wither Must I Wander"
