Jim Guthrie And The Constantines Spread The Three Gut Gospel

We've already mentioned that Toronto's much-celebrated Three Gut Records are celebrating their fourth anniversary with a two-night party at T.O.'s Horseshoe Tavern. Luckily, the Three Gut people have more than just Southern Ontario on their minds, so they're also presenting a Three Gut Anniversary tour, which will cover the Western half of Canada. Representing team Three Gut will be two of the label's flagship acts, Jim Guthrie and The Constantines.

Guthrie is touring in support of his latest album, Now, More Than Ever, and will have a full band, featuring celebrity drummer Nathan Lawr and The Hidden Camera's Mike Olson.

The Cons are touring in support of their second album, Shine A Light, which was released last year by Three Gut in Canada and elsewhere by Sub Pop Records. After crossing the West with the Cons, Guthrie will do a few shows on his way back home, with Lawr performing opening solo sets. The Cons will part ways with Guthrie in Vancouver and will continue on their own down the American West coast, then through Texas and back up to Canada.

Speaking of the United States, Three Gut will release Guthrie's Now, More Than Ever in the U.S. on June 1. Show your support for the label's impending world invasion by showing up on one of the following Anniversary Tour dates:
