Sting Speaks Out About Iraq

Sting is the latest entertainer to join a long list of celebrities who have publicly denounced U.S. President Bush and the military action in Iraq.
During a news conference in Hong Kong, the 52-year-old rocker and well-known do-gooder was asked about his thoughts on the Iraqi war and Sting had more than a little to say.
"I wasn't in favor of going into Iraq," he said. Sting continued on, voicing his desire for the rest of the world to help reconstruct the war-torn nation. He told reporters that it's more important at this point to help people out than to pull a "we told-you-so" on the British and American governments.
"It's too late to blame anyone," he said. "It's too late to complain."
Sting joins a growing list of musicians, including the Dixie Chicks, Carlos Santana, Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle in condemning the war. Sting was in Hong Kong to promote his latest solo album, Sacred Love.
