Stompin' Tom Kicks Around Ontario

There are few things that Stompin' Tom Connors hasn't done.
The East Coast folk and country singer has spent the majority of his life writing about and touring throughout Canada. He's released over 20 albums of original music. He's written several children's books and two autobiographies. He's been given the Order Of Canada, an Honourary Doctorate Of Laws from St. Thomas University and the key to the city of Peterborough, Ontario, along with countless other honors and awards. He's even had his own movie and television series.
You'd think that after accomplishing all of this, Tom would be getting ready to hang his cowboy hat up and call it a day. However, this doesn't look like it will happen any time soon because at the age of 67, the Stomper's still going as strong as ever. To show folks that mandatory retirement isn't for everyone, Tom will be packing up his guitar and putting on his boots to head out and play a handful of gigs across Southern Ontario this month. Fans can expect to hear all of Tom's classics, along with several selections from last year's An Ode For The Road.
Released by EMI, the album, in true Stompin' Tom fashion, documents the Canadian icon's insight into and love of our beautiful country with songs such as "Roll On Saskatchewan," "Saint John Blues" and "Peterborough Postman."
