A man shot at the big Jay-Z/50 Cent Canada Day concert in Toronto has died in hospital. The killers have not yet been apprehended. On July 1 as the concert was ending, Msemaji Granger, a 24-year-old Hamilton man was fatally wounded. As Granger walked from the Molson Amphitheatre with a group of friends, at least two men approached him and shot him several times. According to the Toronto Sun, the gunmen shot Granger down at approximately 10:30 p.m., just as the Canada Day fireworks were going off. Because of the fireworks the sound of the gunshots were masked from most people passing by, so few witnesses bothered to catch a glimpse of the shooters before they blended into the crowd. Granger was brought to St. Michael's hospital in Toronto where he was listed in critical condition. He died yesterday (July 2). Police believe that the crime was not a random shooting, rather, Granger was likely targeted. Neither 50 Cent nor Jay-Z have publicly commented on the case.
