Ricky Martin is back and he’ll be Livin’ La Vida Loca once again. After being absent from the music scene for the past four years, Martin is returning with a brand new all-Spanish album Almas Del Silencio (Souls of Silence), which comes to stores May 20. This April 27, Ricky Martin will make a special appearance for the finale of the most successful television program in Quebec’s history, La Fureur, hosted by Veronique Cloutier. Montreal’s Bell Centre will be packed with rabid fans when Ricky Martin will go on stage and shake his bon bon for the final show, titled Mega-Fureur. The fact that La Fureur could secure Martin for the program is a testament to how popular the show, which is largely unknown to Anglo Canadians, is. For the past five years that the show has been on TV, more than one million viewers have tuned in each week. Ricky Martin, who has sold over 40 million records worldwide if you don’t know, will offer a sample of songs off his new album by performing his premiere single "Jaleo." He will also perform some of the old favorites including his Spanglish single "Copa De La Vida," which appeared on his self-titled Ricky Martin album. Tickets went on sale for the Mega-Fureur on April 5, and were completely sold out in less than two hours. All proceeds from the show go to the St. Justine Hospital Foundation. —Marta Bialecki
