Can-Rock vets I Mother Earth are planning a number of high-profile appearances over the next month.
Although not technically a "tour," IME will be performing a west-east-west hopscotching of what seems to be every major ski and snowboarding event happening in Canada in the next month.
For those of you not in tune with what's going down in this country, the I Mother Earth fellas will be releasing a new album on April 8. Evoking uncomfortable images of stainless steel penises, the awkwardly titled record will be called The Quicksilver Meat Dream.
IME fans who happen to think that picking on naive audience members is funny will also want to check out Open Mike With Mike Bullard on April 17. The band is scheduled to perform on the show that night. And in a tooting of our own horn, be on the lookout for the forthcoming April issue of Chart Magazine. In that one we conduct a feature interview with band members Jag Tanna and Brian Byrne.
Let's just say Jag mentions something from the past that the IME fellas have previously been reluctant to discuss.
I Mother Earth tour dates:
March 20 Calgary, AB @ Outlaws (w/ Bif Naked and Dakona)
March 22 Banff, AB @ Wild Bills Saloon (w/ Bif Naked and Dakona)
March 29 Mt. Tremblant, QC @ Place des Voyageurs (free, all-ages)
April 7 Toronto, ON @ Club 279 (free Edge 102 show)
April 9 Vancouver, BC @ Arts County Fair
April 11 Whistler, BC @ Blackcomb Mountain Main Outdoor Stage (free, all-ages)
