The Dears Album Set For Mid-April

Earlier this week we told you that The Dears' second full-length album would be coming out on the very artist-friendly MapleMusic Recordings label. At the time, we knew that it would be "dark," but we didn't know when the sucker would actually come out.
Well, Dears fans, mark April 15 on your calendar — it's the official release date for No Cities Left.
The Dears current line-up consists of leadman Murray Lightburn, keyboardist/vocalist Natalia Yanchak, drummer George Donoso III, bassist Martin Pelland, keyboardist/flutist Valerie Jodoin-Keaton and guitarist Robert Benvie. The six-piece band will drum up a little hype for the album by opening for Matthew Good on his upcoming tour (check for updated dates on The Dears website).
Look for The Dears to tour on their own later this year.
In other MapleMusic news, The Dears' labelmate Kathleen Edwards is continuing to storm America's mainstream media. She's already appeared in Rolling Stone magazine and on Last Call With Carson Daly and The Late Show With David Letterman. Edwards recently found out that she'll also appear on the other late night mainstay, The Tonight Show. Look for her playing to Jay Leno on February 17. She's also mentioned in the new issue of Time magazine, which hits stores on February 10.
