Royal City, The Constantines Sign International Deals

Today Toronto's Three Gut Records confirmed that two of their flagship bands have signed deals with record labels outside of Canada.
The Constantines will be working with Sub Pop in the U.S. and Royal City have developed a formal relationship with England's Rough Trade.
Both bands will continue to be represented by Three Gut in Canada. The Constantines have already recorded the follow-up to their 2001 self-titled album, which will be the first release on their Sub Pop. The new album was recently recorded at home in Toronto, partially at Blue Rodeo's Woodshed studio and partially at Chemical Sound. Look for the album out likely in May or June of this year.
Royal City don't have a new album in the bag just yet, but their two excellent albums, are already available in Canada through Three Gut. Both Alone At The Microphone and At Rush Hour The Cars will be available to the fine people of the U.K. and the rest of Europe in the next few months. Expect some news on a U.S. Royal City deal shortly.
Finally, the Three Gut gang are heading down to Austin, Texas for this year's edition of South By Southwest. The label will be holding a showcase at Emo's Junior on March 14, featuring the stellar line-up of Jim Guthrie, Royal City and The Constantines. If you happen to be heading south for the annual music industry shindig, drop by and check them all out.
