Last week we told you that rapper DMX was denied entrance into Canada to play a duo of shows in Saskatoon and Calgary.

Now representatives of the rapper have announced that DMX won't just make up those cancelled dates later this year, but that he's also in the process of scheduling up to 10 additional performances.

According to an article on Launch.com, DMX and his lawyers are currently in the midst of securing the artist safe and legal passage into the country. A spokesperson told the website that fans can look forward to seeing DMX in Canada between March 21 and 30. Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but ChartAttack will keep you up to date once concrete dates and venues are announced.

DMX arrived in Calgary last week, ready to play, but Canadian Customs officials did not allow him to even get out of the airport. The rap star, whose real name is Earl Simmons, has admitted to a lengthy criminal record, which probably had something to do with his rejection by Canadian officials.

Speaking of criminal records, Simmons was picked up by the fuzz on New Year's Eve on Christmas Eve when he made an unsafe lane change while tooling around in his Chevy Suburban in Harrison, New York.

When he was given the routine request for his license and registration he gave the cops "incorrect information," whatever that means. He was arrested and charged with failure to signal a lane change and possession of a forged instrument.

Dangerous!
