Kittie Team Up With KFMDM

We haven't heard much from them over the summer, but despite member changes (including the exit of bass player Talena Atfield and arrival of new bassist Jennifer J. Arroyo this past March) and the fact that it's been almost an entire year since their last album, Oracle, came out, the Kittie girls are still going strong.
The band have spent most of their summer touring outside of Canada (a trend that will continue throughout the fall) and are on the verge of releasing a new seven-song EP.
The new EP, which will be released on November 19, is called Safe, after the Oracle track of the same name. The cornerstone of the EP is a remix of the song, retooled by Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM fame. The CD will also include an extended remix and a radio edit of the new version of the tune.
"I am totally into doing this remix for Kittie," Konietzko said. "My own project, KMFDM, has a long-standing history of combining hard music and female vocals, therefore this stuff is right up my alley... and the kids just love it!"
And if anyone's got their finger on the pulse of teenage America, it's Sascha Koinietzko, right? Sure.
Either way, the EP will also feature five live tracks, all recorded at the House Of Blues in Anaheim, California this August. There are also three bonus video tracks of the band playing at the Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, also in August.
Here's a tracklisting for Safe:
"Safe" (Remixed by Sascha Konietzko and Bill Rieflin of KMFDM Inc.)

"No Name"
"Severed"
"What I Always Wanted"
