Ted Nugent Offers Lance Bass Some Killin' Lessons

The Nuge... or Fabio? Place bets NOW!

What does an aging rocker/hunting enthusiast do when his name hasn't been in the news for a while?

Jump on some other poor sap's news story, of course.

*NSYNC pop-tart Lance Bass has been getting loads of attention as of late with his quest to be the first Top 40 artist in space.

This week, Russian space authorities reportedly booted Bass out of the space camp he's been training at after the singer failed to pay the $20 million fee.

Seeing that the young Bass was jonesing for a little adventure, rock guitarist Ted Nugent has decided to lend a helping hand. For the relatively low price of $1 million, Nugent has invited Bass out to his ranch in Michigan to train him in the fine art of bow-hunting.

Nugent wants to teach the pop star how to live in the wild, stalk and kill animals and cook them. He's also offered to throw in a free guitar lesson.

"Bass needs to quit worrying about going into outer space and embrace and celebrate life by learning how to kill his own food," Nugent told Associated Press. "A slab of flesh on the back of a deer is the finest source of protein on the planet."

Hmm.

Bass has yet to respond to Nugent's, er, kind offer and we're not even sure if he eats meat. Either way, Nugent may have to wait a while for Lance's final decision — his people are still working on getting him back in space camp, which would push the Nuge onto the back burner.

For those of you who don't have a cool million but still want to embrace and celebrate life by learning how to kill your own food, the Nuge offers plenty of alternative programs on his frighteningly comprehensive website.

You could pick up one of his books — God, Guns & Rock 'n' Roll or Kill It And Grill It: A Guide To Preparing And Cooking Wild Game And Fish — or join something called Tribe Nuge for $35 a year or $750 for a lifetime membership. Nuge also offers Safari trips and a kids camp.
