Neil Young Recruits Booker T. (Not The Wrestler)

We recently reported that legendary guitar rocker Neil Young would be naming his new studio album Are You Passionate, but we didn't know a whole heck of a lot more about the album.

Well, today we give you everything we know. For all you still hurting from the tragic events of September 11, you can take solace in the fact that Young's passionately touching (and unfortunately lame) song, "Let's Roll," inspired by the last words of Todd Beamer, a passenger on one of the doomed flights, will be included on the new album.

But even if you can bear to hear "Let's Roll" one more time, there's plenty of good news. The album will contain 11 brand new tracks and will feature back-up by none other than Booker T. & The MGs, the multi-generational Southern soul-rock group that's been around almost as long as Young has himself.

(Otherwise, for all you youngsters that were thinking WWF personality Booker T had followed Chris Jericho into the world of rock — you were wrong.)

Booker T. & The MG's are no strangers to Young. In 1993 the band toured alongside Young quite frequently, but this will mark the first time that the two have ever stepped into the recording studio together.

On top of the Booker T back-up, Young has also recruited members of his long-time cohorts Crazy Horse to appear on the album.

Are You Passionate will be released on March 26, and is Young's first studio album since 2000's Silver & Gold.
