DMX Hauls Major Trucker Ass

Being a truck lover pays off if you're a DMX fan these days — so much so that you may be able to catch him performing for free atop a flatbed 18-wheeler in a city near you.
According to SonicNet.com, DMX (a.k.a. Earl Simmons) will be kicking his Hoodstock tour into high-gear, performing coast to coast in the U.S. Local radio stations co-sponsor these truckin' events and won't announce the location and time of these free performances until the day of the show, so keep your ears open.
There's no word on whether any Canadian dates will be included as all the free stops are being kept fairly hush-hush. It must be hard work touring atop an 18-wheeler...
Hoodstock begins October 12 in Washington D.C. and ends off in Atlanta on November 1 and the trash-talkin' X will be nailing a whackload of major cities between these two dates.
This past summer, DMX was slated to tour Canada, but postponed his appearances to coincide with the release date of his fourth album on October 23, The Great Depression. Earlier this year, the baddest X-Man appeared in Sum 41's video "It Makes No Difference" and in the mildly successful Exit Wounds with Steven Segal and Tom Arnold. The trash-talkin' rapper was the only saving grace in the film, by the way.
The Great Depression is slotted to hit stores and its first single, "We Right Here," was chosen by X himself, based on the reaction he got from driving around in his truck playing the track for anyone who'd listen to it. "Who We Be" has also been released.
Could this be his inspiration to perform on an 18-wheeler? Who knows. It's just a cool idea.
