Jeff Martin's Kids

For those of you with a soft spot for charity concerts, mark this one down on your calendar.
In hopes of helping families in need, Jeff Healey, The Tea Party's Jeff Martin, singer-songwriter Nancy Rancourt, rapper Snow and golden oldies, The Spoons, will all perform a benefit concert entitled Artists For Missing Children at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on Aug. 28.
Artists For Missing Children is the Canadian music industry's response to the plight of families crippled financially with the enormous costs of finding lost or missing youngsters.
Many families are often forced to liquidate their assets and private belongings to pay private agencies to assist in finding lost kids. Additional expenses can include things like legal fees, transportation costs and temporary living expenses. It is the desire of all those involved to raise money to help these families manage the burden of searching for a missing loved one.
You can help by purchasing a ticket for $20 (including GST) and they're available in advance at the Phoenix or at the door on the night of the show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m.
