Gob To Play Free Show

Hey Gob fans, ChartAttack hears them calling your name (calling for you out of the night, no less) to attend their next live show, this Friday (July 6).
And, if you live in the Vancouver area, there's no excuse for you not to. After all, it's completely free.
Yes, in a move that recalls an earlier R.E.M. performance in Toronto, ON this summer, BC's favourite punk-rocking sons are going to be playing the downtown core of Vancouver completely gratis on July 6. There's no word on whether the show will be taped for the upcoming YTV "The World According To Gob: A Gobumentary" special like the recent EdgeFest gig was.
Regardless, the show begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be taking place outside the brand spanking new offices for rock radio station stalwarts, 99.3 FM CFOX, as part of their free summer concert series. Located at the corner of streets Georgia and Granville, Gob fans and innocent bystanders may want to get there early for the concert — though it's a bus-free rush hour, it's a safe bet there will be a whole lot of people once word gets out.
After the CFOX gig, Gob will be continuing their Canadian tour, playing the following dates:
July 9 Calgary, AB @ Exhibition Park (Calgary Stampede)
July 11 Jasper, AB @ Athabasca
July 13 Peace River, AB @ Davis Ball Park
August 11 Saskatoon, SK @ Rotary Park (wakeboarding competition)
September 8 Ottawa, ON @ Molson Canadian Show (with Crazytown and MxPx)
September 15 Halifax, NS @ Molson Canadian Show (with Sloan and NOFX)
September 22 Toronto, ON @ Molson Canadian Show (with Crazytown and MxPx)
