Webcast Of KROQ Weenie Roast & Radiohead Gig

Radiohead Webcast Yet Another Gig

Seeing as how all we've been writing for the past two days is webcasts, we think it's pretty safe to say that this phenomenon isn't just a passing fad.

So basically, it's time for us to start getting used to spending a lot more time indoors. L.A. radio station KROQ is holding their ninth annual Weenie Roast — a festival-type event showcasing 11 notable bands that are set to perform live and via the 'Net, Saturday, June 23. It starts at 3 p.m. PST or 6 p.m. EST.

There is a diverse mix of music being featured at the Weenie Roast this year. You'll get to catch the juvenile antics of Blink-182; the pretty boys of nu metal Crazy Town and the sounds of some classic artists that'll take you back some years like Jane's Addiction and The Cult. Also playing on the bill are: Disturbed, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Stabbing Westward, Staind, 311 and Coldplay.

(One of these bands just doesn't belong here...)

If these bands aren't your cup of tea, perhaps something with a bit more U.K. flare would be, like say, Radiohead. These musical experimenters will webcast their June 23 live from the Gorge, in George, WA. That show starts at 8:30 p.m. PST or 11 p.m. EST via the HOB.com.

So, if you find yourself getting bored or going deaf at the Weenie Roast be glad to know you're only a click away from the healing powers of Radiohead.

Sadly, you'll have to show up in person to enjoy a real weenie.
