Change Of Heart Tribute Planned

Wayne-Os Will Con "Tribute" ing Live June 22nd

Remember Change of Heart? (No, not the relationship exploit television show.)

COH's name has been floating about Canadian music circles for over 15 years now.

After having played countless shows, undertaken numerous tours and having won CFNY's "Discovery to Disc" competition (where they won a $100,000 cash prize, not too shabby...), Canadian bands are finally paying homage.

A Change Of Heart tribute album, entitled Changed: A Tribute To Change Of Heart, is set to be released on June 23.

Change Of Heart rocked us with songs like "Herstory" and "It Should Be" and while they were never commercially popular they gained much respect and acclaim.

The tribute CD being released will be an acknowledgement of their underground rock fame and appeal. Ian Blurton, a former member of the band, has since moved on to produce albums for a variety of artists including The Weakerthans and Tricky Woo showing that he still has cred.

Acts appearing on the CD include:
Babs Eager & The Flaming Chiuahahas - "Directions For Going"
Rebecca West - "Mystery"
The Mercurymen - "Stress Monkey"
Clack Babbage - "Pat's Decline"
Scott B. Sympathy - "Winter's Over"
Wayne Omaha - "There You Go"
The Peter Parkers - "Smile"
Bionic - "Shlomo"
Don Kerr - "Yeah, It Matters"
Chris Brown - "Erosion"
SIANspheric vs. Playpause - "Away Goodbye"
Moonkarma - "Herstory"
Steaming Toolie - "Seemingly"
By Divine Right - "What My Paws Can't Move"
Fieldboss - "It Should Be"

A CD release party is scheduled to celebrate the forthcoming tribute album, happening June 22 @ The Rivoli. Confirmed acts include: Wayne Omaha, The Mercurymen and By Divine Right with other additions on the way.
