Despite some initial misgivings about performing at the Polliwog tour, it seems that Jeff Martin and The Tea Party will be rocking out at a Quebec metalfest this summer.
Kicking off on August 2, the six-show tour will host a number of anglo and francophone acts, including Canuck metalheads, Anonymus, hard grrl-rockers Tuuli, Groovy Aardvark (progressive alt. rock) and rapcore band, Raid. The Tea Party will make appearances at three of the six shows as headliners.
For the piece de resistance, Polliwog went all out and lured Slaves On Dope from the U.S. for the final show.
Metal (and nu-metal) heads attending the series will also be treated to a few surprise groups (even we don't know who they are), as well as the winners of the Polliwog Molson Dry Contest, Gou-H, who won a place on the bill along with some other music goodies.
This is Polliwog's sixth summer on the outdoor Quebec circuit. Tickets for the show will range from free (one show only, no Tea Party) to $25, depending on the venue (one guess for how much the Tea Party shows are).
