Write Radiohead's Canadian Bio

Now you rock geeks can put your mind-boggling command of hyperbole to good use. Radiohead's label EMI Music Canada has decided to give the publicity department a day off and have given fans of the band the opportunity to write Radiohead's official Canadian bio.

The contest goes something like this: You write maximum 500 words about Radiohead's new album, Amnesiac (we know you've all heard it, so that shouldn't be a problem). It should be written in a "creative Radioheadesque style" and should also include highlights of the band's career and be written in a manner that conveys important information to media outlets.

As masters of taking outlandish literary liberties, the good folks of ChartAttack have compiled a few words from our handy Webster's Thesaurus that should help you with your assignment.

Here's some words we're challenging you to use in your bio submission and what they mean:

Heterogeneous - different, discordant

Mendicant - pauper, beggar

Urbane - considerate, well-mannered Vitiate - corrupt, damage

Zenith - apex, cap (Don't forget to change all your "ed" references to " t," as in "Packt Like...")

EMI staffers will go through all the contest entries and will pick the one they like the best. That one will become the bio that gets sent to people like ChartAttack, radio outlets, MuchMusic and other avowed enemies of ours.

Entries must be sent to http://www.emimusic.ca/radiohead/# before 11 a.m. EST on June 5. The winner will be announced June 5, the day that Amnesiac gets released.
