Matt Good's Loser Anthems

After years of anticipation, it appears that fans of the Matthew Good Band will finally have the chance to get a copy of the perpetually forthcoming Loser Anthems into their hot little hands.
The seven song EP, originally mentioned in the second year anniversary edition of Matt's beloved manifestos, is officially scheduled for a June 5 release. It will be available in stores across Canada, as well as on the band's official website.
With a cover that Matt described in a launch.com chat as "a giant panda flying over metropolitan Toronto," the artwork appears to be a take-off of Pink Floyd's Animals, which features smokestacks and a flying pig. While the idea of a flying panda is always amusing, it should be noted that Animals parodies are not exactly original, as one has already been done by The Orb.
Only 35,000 copies of this limited edition rarities and B-sides collection will be produced and each copy will be numbered. If you're absolutely desperate to get your hands on one and just can't wait until June for the chance, then you might want to check out hmv.com, where the disc is available for pre-order.
HMV also has a tracklisting up, although it's in a different order from the one on the band's official site. While the retailer suggests a pretty straightforward listing of the seven tracks, the band points to a more artful direction. According to them, the Loser Anthems tracklisting will look a little something like this:
Program One
"Flashdance II"
"Man From Harold Wood"
"My Life As a Circus Clown"
Intermezzo
"M. Good v M. Trolley"
Program 2
"Flight Recorder From Viking 7"
"Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance"
"The Fine Art Of Falling Apart"
