Sneak Peek Of Rufus Wainwright's Poses

Rufus Wainwright fans rejoice! Your collective payers have been answered. Montreal crooner/songwriter is about to release his sophomore album Poses (DreamWorks) and we've heard it.
Musically, the new album continues the luscious sounds Mr. Wainwright developed on his eponymous debut, released in 1998. Pierre Marchand produced the majority of the new album. He is best known for his work producing Gone, the debut solo album of Greg Keelor (Blue Rodeo) and Rufus' mom and aunt's (Kate And Anna McGarrigle) 1996 album Matapedia.
For those music aficionados who may have been turned off by Rufus' eccentricities, Poses is more croon, less swoon and a tad more accessible. Wainwright comes close to inhabiting the sane vocal land of Ron Sexsmith.
The release date for Poses is scheduled for mid-June.
