Tea Party Sell Singles Digitally

Tea Party Break New Ground By Offering Digital Downloads

The Tea Party are offering fans the opportunity to purchase previously unreleased songs via the internet in a secure digital transaction. This will be the first time in history that Canadian consumers can legally purchase a digital music file from a Canadian band.

The trio will be the first Canadian recording artists to offer a secured commercial digital download.

The tracks that are going to be available are:
"Psychopomp" (live) - from their MuchMusic Intimate and Interactive May 19, 1998
"Turn The Lamp Down Low" - alternate version from The Edges Of Twilight recording session
"Life Line" - extra track from Triptych recording sessions
"A Woman Like You" - extra track from Triptych recording sessions
"Waiting For A Sign" - extra track from Triptych recording sessions
"Release" - radio mix, alternate version from Transmission, will be available as a free promotional only download for anyone who wishes to hear it.

In a press release Jeff Martin (vocals/guitar) said, "I'm really please that many tracks that have not been previously available in Canada are now accessible to our fans. It is their demand that has enabled us to get these songs out of the vault. We have always been interested in digital downloads yet slightly concerned."

EMI Music Canada has been testing the digital download market by offering music from David Bowie and Ben Harper. The Tea Party is the first domestic artist that they will make available for digital download.
