Local Rabbits Burrow Into New Album

Montreal band The Local Rabbits have been as busy as... uh, bees. They have just completed recording a new album at the Gas Station in Toronto, which is expected out this summer. The as-of-yet untitled LP will be released independently and Rabbits fans can expect to see some changes.
According to guitarist Ben Gunning, this album is considered "a bit more contemporary," using more keyboards and piano than earlier recordings. Another change is the absence of guest appearances on this album. That's right, folks.. Rabbits only. In the past the band have worked with Sloan's Jay Ferguson and other artists.
Also due for release (no one knows when) is the video for "High School Hierarchy"(Basic Concept). And if all this wasn't enough, the band will be at South by Southwest in Austin Texas next week. They return home to perform in Hamilton and Montreal in April...
Whew! No hibernation for these guys. With files from Lindsay Michelle Lynch, the overseer of the band's official website, which will be online soon.
