Update: Ex-Pumpkin Charged With Possessing Xrack

D'Arcy Wretzky

SonicNet reports that ex-Smashing Pumpkin bassist D'Arcy Wretzky has now been charged with possessing crack cocaine. She was reportedly seen leaving a building that police identified as a place where drugs were often sold.

A Chicago police spokesperson told Sonicnet that Wretzky was in a car that had been pulled over for several alleged traffic violations. The driver of the car, identified as Tony Young, had three small plastic bags with crack cocaine, which Wretzky readily admitted were hers. Young was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Wretzky was charged with drug possession and posted a $10,000 bond. It isn't known if she spent any time in jail.

Wretzky left the Smashing Pumpkins in September and was replaced by ex-Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Maur shortly thereafter. Additional reporting by Hannah Guy.
